WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –

Ferry services have resumed in the area nearly one week after Hurricane Florence.

The state Department of Transportation said two ferries arrived in Southport earlier this week carrying fuel, transportation workers, and supplies.

The Southport to Fort Fisher routes are back, but on a limited schedule.

Only Brunswick County residents, essential vendors, those with critical medical and infrastructure support personnel will be allowed on.
