Goldsboro, N.C. — Even before the worst of Hurricane Dorian’s high winds blew inland Thursday afternoon, a barn was destroyed and damage reported in Mar-Mac in Wayne County.
The area had been under a tornado warning just before 2:30 p.m., when radar showed conditions that would indicate a tornado.
A homeowner said that the weather worsened for about 30 seconds, tossing vehicles, uprooting trees and blasting off siding.
The National Weather Service reported additional possible tornado damage along Highway 70 in Goldsboro.
