Brazosport ISD

Brazosport ISD has also canceled virtual and in-person classes Tuesday through Thursday, according to an announcement made on the district’s website.

“The path of this storm has changed several times over the last few days and is anticipated to strengthen,” the statement read. “We encourage everyone to take precautions and use this time to prepare for the potential heavy winds and rain that may impact our area.”

The district announced on Twitter that athletic practices and games will not be held for the rest of the week. Athletic activities may resume Saturday, depending on the storm’s impact.

Huffman ISD announced on Facebook it has canceled classes Tuesday and Wednesday. It plans to evaluate the storm on Wednesday to determine plans for Thursday.

“As you all know, Huffman was greatly impacted by Harvey and Imelda, and we want to allow everyone sufficient time to plan appropriately,” the district wrote in the post.
