FORECAST: Flooding Rains on the way Thursday
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Overnight clouds will increase and scattered showers will move in and start to become heavier by Thursday morning. This will lead to a significant Flood Threat for Thursday will widespread rain and isolated severe storms.
The rain will last all day Thursday and we could see 3-6″ of rain with localized heavy amounts. On top of the flood, the threat is the risk for isolated storms south and east of I-85. The main risk for those will be in the afternoon and evening and be very dependent on the track or the remnants and the stalled front.
Please be weather aware and ready for flooding to occur both urban and small creek and stream flooding with even some river flooding possible.
