Nationally lauded San Antonio brunch spot Comfort Café closed due to flooding
Comfort Café, a beloved San Antonio brunch spot, is closed after the Bandera location sustained damages due to flooding.
The Bandera restaurant, which is the original location, will be closed for cleanup while the outpost at Los Patios, which opened in June, will be serving all the favorites Friday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a Facebook post says. Photos show the restaurant, which was named the top brunch spot in the U.S. by Yelp, in disarray following storms that soaked the area from Monday into Tuesday morning.

“We are so sad to announce that our Bandera location was flooded this morning and will take time to rebuild,” the post adds.
The pay-what-you-can, volunteer-based restaurant benefits a community of recovering addicts. The team is accepting donations of time to clean up or money, which can be given here.

The restaurant was also damaged in March when a foot of flood water caused “chaos.”
