Here’s a list of school closures for South Texas as Tropical Storm Nicholas moves closer to the Coastal Bend.

The National Weather Service is predicting South Texas will see several inches of rain, high winds and coastal flooding through Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Del Mar College: Classes are canceled and all campus facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi: The university will shift to remote instruction on Monday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday, Sept. 14. Staff should report to campus on Monday morning to perform storm readiness duties and work remotely beginning at noon, according to a university alert. Residence and dining halls will remain open. 

Texas A&M Universisty-Kingsville:  Classes are canceled for Monday, Sept. 13 and the Marc Cisneros Center for Young Children will be closed.  

However, the campus will remain open Monday, including residence life, food service, and the Jernigan Library. The Student Rec Center will remain open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Most campus offices will also remain open, and most employees should report to work as normal. Employees must contact their supervisors if they are unable to work.  

What South Texas school districts are closed?

Aransas Pass ISD: All campuses will be closed Monday, Sept. 13.

Bishop CISD: Both face to face and remote instruction is canceled for Monday, Sept. 13.

Driscoll ISD: Classes are canceled for Monday, Sept. 13.

Ingleside ISD: All campuses will be closed Monday, Sept. 13 for students and staff.

Kingsville ISD: Classes are canceled for Monday, Sept. 13.

Port Aransas ISD: Classes, extracurricular activities and meetings are cancelled for Monday, Sept. 13. 

Refugio ISD: Classes and school activities are canceled for Monday, Sept. 13.

Ricardo ISD: Classes are canceled for Monday, Sept. 13.

Riviera ISD: Riviera ISD will be closed Monday, Sept. 13.
