HOUSTON — A Tornado Watch has been issued for San Jacinto, Polk and Walker counties until 4 p.m. today. 

Our cold front is arriving today. A few showers early and then the cold front should arrive midday.

Showers and thunderstorms began around 9 a.m. and are expected to last hrough 2 p.m. and then it is out of here. Quick clearing behind the front. Severe weather is possible in Louisiana but not here.

Behind this front, temperatures will be closer to where they should be for this time of the year. Highs will stay in the 60s with lows in the chilly 40s for the foreseeable future.

Your weekend plans will require an umbrella on Saturday with light to moderate rain expected most of the day. Temps will stay in the 50s most of the day too. Good day to stay in with some hot cocoa!
