Hurricane Helene relief concert in Charlotte adds 3 new names
All proceeds from the concert will benefit Hurricane Helene relief efforts in western North Carolina.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some of North Carolina’s biggest artists are coming together for a concert in Charlotte that will benefit communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Eric Church, Luke Combs, Billy Strings and James Taylor will perform a special “Concert for Carolina” on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Bank of America Stadium. The show will be presented by Explore Asheville with all proceeds benefiting Hurricane Helene relief efforts across western North Carolina. The show will be hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley.
On Wednesday, organizers announced that Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Bailey Zimmerman were added to the show’s lineup.
“The call to David Tepper—owner of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC and Bank of America Stadium—and his wife Nicole Tepper was met with overwhelming generosity and decisive action,” organizers said. “Without hesitation, the Teppers offered Bank of America Stadium as a venue and everyone united the make the benefit concert a reality as swiftly as possible.”
Tickets go on sale starting Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. Details can be found by clicking here.
Proceeds from the show will be split 50/50 between Combs and Church’s Chief Cares Foundation. The announcement comes a few days after Church signed away the publishing rights to his new song “Darkest Hour” to North Carolina for Helene recovery. Combs’ portion of the money will be distributed between Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC.
