WHARTON COUNTY, Texas — The powerful EF-1 tornado that swept through Wharton County on Thursday left a family of 9 with a severely damaged home and no place to live.
“While we are incredibly grateful that our family is safe, our home suffered serious damage — including the roof and ceilings,” Moreno posted. “This unexpected disaster has turned our world upside down.”
Now, Moreno and her husband are putting on a brave face as they struggle to deal with the repairs and recovery.
“We’re doing our best to stay strong for our children, but the financial strain of repairs, temporary housing, and lost income has been overwhelming,” she wrote.
