FORECAST: Tropical Storm Nestor Develops
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tropical Storm Nestor has developed over the Gulf of Mexico! It is expected to make landfall along the Florida Panhandle early tomorrow. Nestor will race along the southeast coast with the strongest winds southeast of Charlotte along with the heaviest rain.
TIMING: Clouds will increase Saturday morning with rain developing during the afternoon, but the heaviest showers will be late evening through the early morning Sunday. The Charlotte area will likely see between 1-2″ of rain. Areas southeast have the best chance to see 1-2″+.

WINDS: There is a chance that some areas well east of Charlotte could have wind gusts up to 40 mph but here locally it looks to be wide range of 25-30 mph gusts with a few popping up to 35 mph. Again… stronger winds are well southeast of Charlotte!

This system will push quickly out by the afternoon Sunday even allowing for a little sunshine fighting through the clouds and highs near 70°!
