Millions under severe weather threat across the South
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A week after deadly tornadoes hit Alabama, 25 million people are under the threat of severe weather across the Deep South.
Suspected tornadoes have already hit parts of Louisiana and Arkansas, and the threat continues to the East.
About 25 million people were at risk Saturday. Sunday, the Southeast is wrapped into the threat and parts of the Eastern Carolinas under a low risk for severe weather.
This past week, students across the state took part in a mock tornado emergency, showing what to do if danger strikes.
The threat for the Carolinas on Sunday is low, but it’s always better to be prepared.
The line of severe storms is expected to move through in the afternoon and evening on Sunday.
