Schools change learning schedule due to threat of severe weather on Thursday

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Due to the threat of severe weather, schools in the Cape Fear are changing their learning plans for Thursday.
Bladen County Schools will transition to remote-only learning for students on Thursday. The school district says teachers and staff will need to contact their immediate supervisor for work options as weather permits. Students are instructed to log-in to their Google classroom to complete their attendance and classwork assignments for Thursday. Meal delivery by bus program will not operate and all afternoon/afterschool activities are canceled.
Brunswick County Schools will release all schools early on Thursday.
- High schools release at noon
- Middle schools at 12:15 p.m
- Elementary schools at 1 p.m.
