Haywood County business owners fear Hurricane Ida impacts

CANTON, NC (WLOS) — Tropical Storm Fred brought deadly flooding to Western North Carolina last week, and more rain could be heading to those heavily hit areas.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Ida is expected to make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane over the weekend. If it stays true to the current track, Ida could impact WNC early to mid-week.

For business owners already struggling to reopen, it’s a worrisome scenario.
