Hurricane Nicholas causes power outages across Coastal Bend
As Hurricane Nicholas strengthens as it moves toward the Texas coast, the Coastal Bend is beginning to see heavy rain, flooding and power outages.
The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi issued a hurricane watch, a tropical storm warning, a storm surge warning, a tropical storm watch, a storm watch and a flash flood watch in effect through Tuesday morning.

Monday 4:46 p.m.: There were 523 without power in Corpus Christi, 33 in Portland, and 35 in Rockport.
Monday 12:08 p.m.: There were 2,276 customers without power in Corpus Christi, 1,015 in Portland, and 102 in Rockport.
Monday 10:30 a.m.: There were 2,147 residents and businesses without power in Corpus Christi, 150 without power in Rockport, and 1,015 without power in Portland.
Monday 9:30 a.m.: There were approximately 250 customers in Corpus Christi experiencing outages. There were 107 without power in Portland, according to AEP Texas.
