Conroe police officer critically injured when suspected tornado hit Trinity County property

CONROE, Texas — A veteran Conroe police officer was left fighting for his life after strong storms battered moved through Trinity County Sunday night.
Lieutenant James “Jimmy” Waller and his wife were at their property in Trinity County when the suspected tornado hit. Their house was destroyed and Waller was critically injured. As of Monday, he remained in the hospital. According to the Conroe Police Department, Waller will need multiple surgeries and he’s looking at a lengthy recovery.
Waller’s wife, Adela, was also injured.
Waller is a 22-year veteran with the Conroe Police Department.
The Conroe Police Officers Association set up a GoFundMe account to help the family.
