Pinetops residents forced from homes due to flooding after Debby passes through
Residents in Edgecombe County are dealing with the aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby on Friday afternoon.
Authorities asked several Pinetops residents to leave their homes due to severe flooding.
One woman who was asked to leave brought her dogs and told WRAL News, “This flooding happens during big storms.”
With multiple “high water” signs posted and authorities blocking off roads, many who were asked to evacuate are now sitting in their cars with nowhere to go.
WRAL News is on the scene and is working to learn more.
