Severe storm floods Cabarrus County road

CONCORD, N.C. — Stough Road in Cabarrus County has flooded because of a severe thunderstorm.
The thunderstorm produced enough rain to raise the level of the Wolf Meadow Branch over Stough Road. This is near Frank Liske Park in Concord.
For impacts from this storm, the National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flood advisory.
Drivers can use Roberta Road or Blackwelder Road as detours.
Across the region, a flood risk continues after days of heavy rainfall.
