Wildfire raging in rural area west of Fredericksburg

Dubbed the “Reverse Fire,” it has burned 75 acres and according to recent reports is only 55% contained.
FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — A wildfire is burning west of Fredericksburg in Gillespie County, according to officials with the Texas A&M Forest Service..
Dubbed the “Reverse Fire,” it has burned 75 acres and according to recent reports is only 55% contained.
Fire officials in the area tell us it started around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Harper, Texas, and was moving eastward.
Multiple fire crews from across the county and region as well as the Texas A&M Forest Service, including two bulldozers, are actively working to stop forward progress and establish containment lines. Crews also utilized a drone and helicopter to direct crews on the ground.
Multiple agencies will continue to work on Wednesday to contain the “Reverse Fire” and put out spot fires.
