SAN ANTONIO — IMPACT DAYS:  Wednesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4

Reason: There could be some locally heavy downpours, especially western and Hill country counties.

The breakdown

There could be locally heavy rain showers, including up to 1” to 3” of rain possible in the Western counties. Eastern counties could see up to .25 to .50.”

The National Weather Service says thunderstorms may produce heavy rain and gusty wind at times. 

A tropical connection is bringing a lot of rain out west, scattered rain will develop for Bexar and surrounding counties. There is a marginal chance for excessive rain across the Hill Country through Friday morning.

There is a chance for scattered rain over the next several days including early on July the 4. It should be partly cloudy with a temps in the upper to mid-80s at 9p for fireworks shows on the 4th of July .
