Key dates for 2025-26 Carolina Hurricanes' schedule

The Carolina Hurricanes announced their schedule for the 2025-26 season. Carolina, which reached the Eastern Conference Final for the second time in three seasons, is seeking an eighth consecutive playoff appearance under coach Rod Brind’Amour.

Carolina made a big splash in the offseason, trading for defenseman K’Andre Miller from the New York Rangers and signing free-agent forward Nikolaj Ehlers, who played for Winnipeg since 2015.

Opening night

Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. New Jersey Devils at Lenovo Center

Saturday home games

The Hurricanes have 10 Saturday games at Lenovo Center, including Oct. 11 against Philadelphia.

State fair trip

After the Oct. 11 game, the Hurricanes play six consecutive road games. Carolina returns to Lenovo Center on Oct. 28 against Vegas.

Home cooking

The Hurricanes play seven consecutive home games from Nov. 26 (Rangers) through Dec. 9 (Columbus). Carolina has home games the night before and night after Thanksgiving.

Ring in the new year

Carolina hosts Montreal on Jan. 1.

Olympic break

NHL players are competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics from Feb. 6 through Feb. 22. The Hurricanes play Feb. 5 (vs. the New York Rangers in New York) and resume the season Feb. 26 vs. Tampa Bay in Raleigh.

Regular-season finale

The Hurricanes close the season with four consecutive road games. The season-finale is April 14 at the New York Islanders.
