SAN ANTONIO — Several fires rage across South Texas Wednesday!
While most of them are in rural areas, air quality will be reduced for several Texas today.
In fact, our air quality monitors are indicating “Unhealthy for sensitive groups.”

For those who suffer from any respiratory illness like COPD or Emphysema need to limit time outdoors over the next couple of days due to enhanced smoke in the atmosphere.
Most of these fires are being contained. However, due to extreme drought and breezy winds in the afternoon, fire danger will continue.
Avoid any outdoor burning, avoid driving over tall grass, and don’t leavy any fire unattended.
Our grass and vegetation are extremely dry. Add in breezy winds and low humidity, South Texas is a tinderbox for wildfires.
Help prevent wildfires and be safe!
