Tornado confirmed in Lincoln County from Sunday morning storms
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado passed through parts of Lincoln County on early Sunday morning.
The EF-0 tornado touched down at 12:43 a.m. and lasted three minutes, moving just over 1 mile in the eastern part of the county. No injuries were reported from the tornado.
Officials say the tornado snapped a tree with multiple large limbs and snapped limbs from other trees. The tornado dissipated in a wooded area near Highway 73.
