Severe weather impacts Charlotte flights

Flights at Charlotte Douglas International Airport have been impacted by heavy rain in the Charlotte area.
As of 6:17 a.m. Friday, 16 flights were delayed and 51 were canceled.
Charlotte airport officials said that ramp operations were temporarily paused Thursday due to the weather. Operations resumed normally after the ramp was reopened.
