Austin bans watercrafts until Monday in wake of area flooding

AUSTIN, Texas — In the wake of serious flooding that has devastated Central Texas, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson has announced that the city has a watercraft ban on Austin waterways until Monday afternoon.
The ban includes personal and commercial watercrafts, wet bikes, motorized surfboards, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and other similar devices on all waterways in the city, including creeks and streams.
