Organizations across Texas are collecting donations to support the response to Central Texas flooding

People across Texas are coming together to help in the aftermath of devastating and deadly floods on July 4th and 5th.
Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country
Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country created the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund that supports relief and rebuilding efforts. The Community Foundation will direct funds to vetted organizations providing assistance in Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort.
All donations are tax-deductible.

GoFundMe has a section of its website dedicated to verified fundraisers for people affected by the Texas floods.
Texas Search and Rescue
Texas Search and Rescue is a non-profit first responder organization providing search, rescue, and recovery operations in the Kerr County area affected by flooding.
Salvation Army Kerrville
The Salvation Army Kerrville is taking limited supply donations on Sunday, July 6 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and then Monday through Friday next week from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This location is serving Kerr County only, according to the City of Kerrville.
Southern Oaks Church
Southern Oaks Church in Kerrville is accepting a variety of donations to support flood relief. According to the church’s Instagram, they’ve transitioned to collecting cash gift cards. The church also is accepting donations online.
Uvalde Foundation for Kids
The Uvalde Foundation for Kids is collecting monetary contributions for flood victims. According to the organization, “All donations made to the Uvalde Foundation for Kids EMERGENCY KERR FUNDRAISER are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly support families in need, provide vital supplies, and aid in the ongoing search and recovery efforts. Donations will be vetted by the foundation board and immediately distributed to those as with proven illustrated need; with updates provided daily. “
Donors should designate “Kerr County, Texas Flooding Relief” on the online donation form.
Kerrville Pets Alive
Kerrville Pets Alive is working to rescue pets lost in the flood and reunite them with their families. The organization also has taken in animals found during the flood.
Mercy Chefs
Mercy Chefs is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing chef-prepared meals to first responders and volunteers in a disaster area. Mercy Chefs has deployed a team to Central Texas to provide hot meals to crews working search and rescue, recovery, and more.
Operation BBQ Relief
Operation BBQ Relief is a non-profit organization founded by a group of barbecue pitmasters looking to serve first responders and people affected by disaster. A team has been deployed to Central Texas to serve hot meals to those impacted by flooding.
World Central Kitchen
Renowned chef Jose Andres’ non-profit organization that serves meals around the world in areas of crisis has a team in Central Texas determining nutritional needs in the wake of the flooding.
