Tropical Storm Imelda: Here's the weather forecast for South Texas

The National Hurricane Center is watching Tropical Storm Imelda moves over the western Gulf of Mexico this week.

The tropical storm warning remains in effect from Sargent to Port Bolivar, along the upper east coast and the storm is expected to move farther inland across eastern Texas tonight and Wednesday.

One to two inches of rain can be expected over the eastern Victoria Crossroads and the extreme northern Coastal Bend.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect through 10 p.m. tonight. Water may reach the dunes, making driving on the beach difficult, said a National Weather Service release.

Expect light to moderate wind this week, with showers and thunderstorms likely today and a high near 92.

With a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 93.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a high of 94 and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 93 and a 30 percent chance of showers, and wind gusts up to 22 mph.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 93 and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunder
