Hurricane Hanna, which was updated to a Category 1 from a tropical storm, is barreling toward the central and south Texas coasts and forecast to make landfall Saturday afternoon or early evening.
Where is Hurricane Hanna predicted to make landfall?
Hurricane Hanna is predicted to make landfall along the coast south of Rockport and north of South Padre Island, and is expected to bring winds as high as 80 mph and as much as 12 inches of rain.
Corpus Christi began to see heavy rainfall Thursday morning which is expected to continue through Monday, creating a chance of flash flooding in the area, and a moderate chance of river flooding.
A dangerous storm surge is predicted for Corpus Christi, Matagorda and Galveston bays.
