Hurricane Hanna, which was updated to a Category 1 from a tropical storm, barreled toward central and south Texas coasts and made landfall Saturday evening.

Hurricane Hanna made landfall at 5 p.m. Saturday on Padre Island. The storm was moving west at 8 mph and producing up to 90 mph sustained winds.

Corpus Christi began to see heavy rainfall Thursday morning which is expected to continue through Monday, creating a chance of flash flooding in the area, and a moderate chance of river flooding.
