Two men killed by lightning while cleaning up hurricane debris

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people died after being struck by lightning in Wilmington Wednesday morning.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers were called to 6205 N. Bradley Overlook shortly before noon in reference to two men who had been struck by lightning while cutting tree limbs in the yard.
The homeowner, Ralph Thomas Wallace, 77, and his friend, Saw Ni Keday Moo, 42, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The house immediately to the left of 6205 N. Bradley Overlook also sustained damage from a small attic fire which was caused by the strike. No one at that home was injured.
