Tornado Warning Issued For Williamson County
A severe thunderstorm warning has been upgraded to a tornado warning for much of Williamson County until 11:15 p.m. The National Weather urges people to take shelter now.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for western Travis County. The National Weather Service says damaging winds of up to 70 miles per hour and 2-inch hail is possible.

A warning means severe weather is imminent and residents should take immediate action to ensure their safety.
Austin Emergency Management gives the following tips to keep safe during severe weather:
- Slow down on wet roads
- Bring pets and plants inside
- Secure loose outdoor items
- Have a plan if immediate action is necessary
- Call 311 to report damage and 911 for emergencies
