AUSTIN, Texas — There will be multiple opportunities Monday through Wednesday for heavy rain and some strong storms. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a portion of the KVUE viewing area under a “slight” — level 2 out of 5 — risk for strong storms on Monday and Tuesday.
The main concerns will be damaging winds, large hail and the potential for isolated tornadoes. Rainfall totals of two to four inches or more look likely for most of Central Texas.
This will be much-needed rain, but we may need to keep an eye on the localized flooding potential. We’ll watch it closely and keep you updated!
Another cold front will move through the area on Wednesday and an area of high pressure will build in behind it. This will bring back the sunshine and warmer temperatures as we close out the workweek and enter the weekend.
