Medicanes: Why hurricane-type storms in the Mediterranean are on the rise

Scientists describe medicanes as a weather phenomenon similar to a hurricane or typhoon that forms over the Mediterranean Sea. Experts warn that because of global warming, medicanes may be intensifying.
