Risk of severe weather arrives to the Cape Fear this weekend

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The threat of severe weather arrives on the final day of Severe Weather Preparedness week.
The Storm Prediction Center already has the Cape Fear under a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for strong storms on Saturday.
The initial rain looks to arrive by late morning, with the storm risk continuing throughout the evening.
Damaging winds and hail are the primary threats, with a slim chance of a tornado.
