Montgomery County officials warn people south of Lake Conroe about potential flooding; Lake Conroe temporarily closed

Montgomery County officials are urging people south of the Lake Conroe Dam near the San Jacinto River to be prepared for significant flooding. They are closely monitoring and will provide updates, which will add to this story as they come in.

The San Jacinto River Authority is also temporarily closed as of 7 a.m. because of high water levels and the possibility of submerged objects, floating debris and other hazards. The high water could create dangerous conditions for boaters. 

Bulkheads could also be under water because of the high water levels, people who live along the lake should be extra cautious fo electrical outlets that may come in contact with water.
