Southport hosts annual Hurricane Expo ahead of the 2024 season

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The City of Southport held its annual Hurricane Expo Monday evening at their community building.
Members of the community turned out to hear from speakers — including WWAY meteorologist Matthew Huddleston — about hurricane preparedness.
Numerous emergency service personnel and town officials answered questions and met with residents to help reassure them ahead of the 2024 hurricane season.
