Floridians are feeling the impact of Hurricane Idalia as it bears down on the western part of the state. The storm is expected to impact a wide central portion of the state, including cities such as Tampa and Orlando, before moving along the Georgia and Carolina coastline Wednesday into Thursday.

The firefighter’s condition is unknown. WALLER COUNTY, Texas — A firefighter was flown to the hospital Tuesday while battling a 60-acre wildfire in Waller County.
