Some areas of California could experience heavy flooding, while up to six feet of snow is possible in the mountains. Meteorologist Mike Bettes of The Weather Channel has the forecast.

Evacuation warnings were issued in advance of the storm for various foothill and mountain communities that are prone to flooding and mudslides.
