While residents along the U.S. East Coast are evacuating inland to safer places, live webcams along the coast await Hurricane Florence’s landfall.

Florence is considered a potentially life-threatening event, despite Wednesday’s announcement that its “top sustained winds are down to 110 mph (177 kph), which makes it a Category 2 storm,” the Associated Press reports. “It remains very large and very dangerous, bringing more than 30 inches of rain to the coast and heavy winds that will impact a giant swath of land.”
