— The Federal Bureau of Investigation is helping with the search for a man wanted in the murder of a Hurricane Ida evacuee in Charlotte and the murder of another man in Nashville.

Malek Anthony Moore, 29, is wanted in the murder of Gabryelle Allnut in Charlotte’s NoDa community, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.

Allnut was found unresponsive in a Charlotte art studio on Sept. 5 after traveling to the city to escape Hurricane Ida. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

WCNC reports that Allnut was a youth instructor with the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.

Moore is also a person of interest in the murder of Christian Mbimba, 21, in Greensboro. Mbimba was killed in the 2800 block of Patterson Street, and his body was found in the street. Law enforcement said Moore also assaulted a woman on Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Charlotte.

Moore is wanted on charges of murder, first-degree burglary and kidnapping. Law enforcement said Moore is considered “armed and dangerous.” He could be using trains to travel in North Carolina, South Carolina or surrounding states.

WCNC said Moore also has previous offenses in Guilford, Cumberland and Martin counties.

Moore was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored pants. Law enforcement said Moore’s hair is cut close to his head. He has a scar on his hand, a tattoo of three circles on his shoulder, a tattoo of tear drops on his left and right cheeks and his left ear is pierced.

Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
