The Goldsboro Police Department said several roads are closed Monday morning due to the flooding and damage from Sunday’s WRAL Weather Alert Day.
“Due to standing water on roadways the following roads are currently closed,” GPD said on Facebook. “Citizens should use alternate routes and remember to never enter an area that has been closed or coned off.”
The following roads are currently closed:
- Elm Street between Hillcrest Drive and Stoney Creek Parkway.
- Stoney Creek Parkway between Elm Street and Harris Street.
- 3200 block of Ash Street (Greenwood Middle/Meadow Lane Elementary). The eastbound lane is closed due to a fallen tree.
