Severe weather possible Wednesday night into Thursday
HOUSTON – Cloudy, cool and quiet weather Wednesday morning will give way to stormy weather Wednesday evening
A strong upper-level system will push through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Thunderstorms rolling through could turn severe, producing hail and strong winds. Although an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, the main severe weather threat will be hail and gusty winds.
With 2 to 4 inches of rain expected, isolated street flooding could happen.
Storm timing is specific to location.
Northwest communities can expect storms to bubble up Wednesday around 11 a.m. and continue through Wednesday night.
Storms could train over our northwest counties, allowing for 3 to 4 inches of rain and localized low-level flooding.
The threat for severe weather will lower by midnight northwest of Harris County. It is important to monitor weather conditions and listen to weather warnings if they are issued.
