A contractor from Bryan is facing a theft charge after being accused of defrauding several clients, including two recovering from Hurricane Harvey, authorities said.
Keith Johnson, 43, was arrested earlier this month after prosecutors charged him with the felony.
Harris County Pct. 1 Constable Alan Rosen tweeted on Thursday that six clients were defrauded out of $300,000. Two were still dealing with the aftermath of the 2017 hurricane.
“He preyed on them during their most vulnerable time,” Constable Alan Rosen tweeted Thursday.
Johnson has no prior criminal history.
