Houston Forecast: Scattered rain continues Thursday; flooding east of Houston

Tropical Depression Imelda is still spinning up trouble in Southeast Texas, although the Greater Houston Area appears to have avoided the worst of it.
In Chambers County and areas east, however, widespread flooding has been reported in the overnight hours leading into Thursday morning. Find live coverage of this flood emergency here.

A Flash Flood Watch continues for all of the Houston area until 7 a.m. Thursday as our grounds are very saturated.
Houston has an 80 percent rain chance Thursday, mostly earlier in the day. Rain chances start to diminish later in the evening and overnight in Friday.
