Flood advisory issued for Nueces County; rain expected through Friday

The National Weather Service has operated an office in Corpus Christi, Texas since 1887. It moved to property at the international airport in 1995.
Be prepared for heavy rain this week as the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi predicts showers and thunderstorms through Friday night.
Rain began Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi issued a flood advisory for northeastern Kleberg County and southeastern Nueces County.
Water rose in Flour Bluff as the rain fell around noon Wednesday, but recessed by 2 p.m. .
The weather service forecasts a 30 percent chance for rain Wednesday night with low temperatures in the 70s.
A 50 percent chance of rain was forecast on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching into the high 80s. Wind gusts as high as 23 miles per hour are possible.
The rain is expected to come to an end on Saturday. The weekend will be partly sunny with temps in the high 80s and wind gusts as high as 24 miles per hour.
