After Florence delays wedding, couple tie the knot at WRAL garden

The WRAL Azalea Gardens on Saturday was the setting for a wedding that was postponed by Hurricane Florence.
Brittany and Dave LaFave were supposed to get married last weekend in Wilmington.
They evacuated to Florida and saw the devastation Florence left behind.
Brittany is from Morehead City; Dave is from Wilmington.
They started looking around for a different venue and picked the WRAL Azalea Gardens.
“When that storm comes through, you just don’t know what everyone’s going through at home,” Dave LaFave said. “We just wanted them to be able to focus on that, on their own lives and their own families. It worked out the way it did and turned out great, I think.”
The LaFaves credit family members for their tireless work in pulling it all together at the last minute.
As for their home in Wilmington, they say, they lost some fencing and had other minimal damage.
