A severe weather system whipped up deadly tornadoes and dropped heavy rain over parts of the South, including hard-hit Montgomery County in Alabama. Manny Bojorquez has the latest.

An outbreak of severe weather brings heavy snow, rain and tornadoes to parts of the United States. The National Weather Service confirmed that several tornadoes had touched down in Mississippi, although it was unclear if there was any significant damage.

The Weather Channel’s Mike Bettes has the forecast as the South faces a tornado outbreak and heavy rains.

At least two tornadoes have touched down in Mississippi as a massive storm system stretching from Texas to South Carolina is expected to produce heavy rains, flood waters and hail. Manuel Bojorquez reports.
